1) To teach God's word in a contextualized format for our culture At Logos, generally how we do our Sunday evening gatherings is a verse by verse, study of one of the books of the Bible. We employ video, testimony, and our own stories, to clearly explain how scripture is to be applied in our lives. On occasion, we will topically study an issue that affects us and how we are to respond to it Biblically. 2) To live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our community In this day and age if we as believers think that it is enough to just speak the Gospel, we are sorely mistaken. James says in his letter, "Faith without works is dead". We know that the most affective Gospel is one that is lived and seen. We seek to do this at Logos Community. 3) To disciple men and women and to teach them what it means to submit to Jesus Discipleship too often is a class, or a book to be read. This does not follow a Biblical model. Discipleship means that the one who is discipling invites that other person to share their lives. To be in their home, to allow them to SEE what it looks like to live a life transformed by Jesus Christ. We at Logos hold fast to this principle, and seek to disciple our men and women in a way that shows them what transformation looks like, and speaks truth into their lives from scripture.
